Calling all business bloggers! If you blog for your business, no matter what size, we want to hear more about your experience. We would like to gauge the effectiveness of blogging for business, start collecting data about trends, the costs involved, your target audiences and the benefits. We look forward to sharing the anonymised results of this survey and analysis of the data with you in due course.

This is an initiative of the Irish Internet Association’s Social Media Working Group to gather information about blogging for business in Ireland. This survey was run last year (results available online) and formed part of the data for the guide “Join the Conversation: A Guide to Blogging for Business” Your response will be completely anonymous and the survey takes about 10 minutes to complete.

Actualy i do blog, but not for my bussiness. My weblog is just for the fun and a little bit to promote myself as a person.
I do blog because it is a very modern kind of expression. With my blog I analyze gadgets and write about my own oppinion. My incentive are the comments by visitors that praise me.
Almost all companies in the Irish Tourism sector blog for their business.
We at Dublin Visitors have had great response from blogs.

I’m not sure about ‘blog for my business’ but blogging or having/running blogs is my business.
Just knew about blogging few months back and no, it’s not for business.
I have done a blog for business in the past but I had a hard time getting anyone to find and read it. I guess the subject matter wasn’t interesting enough.
Blogging itself can be a great business, I make most of my income from blogging though I can’t consider myself as a blogger.

As Rica mentions, it is very effective for business promotion.
I find that we get around a follow on 20% click-through to our main business section.
The whole internet shopping is hard sale.
A Blog is good for business as it helps google know that you are actively generating new content.
