Marginally easier than getting out of Group D – IIA.ie relaunched

Hello Ireland!

Champagne against a boat

Like the politician turning the last screw in the new bridge construction or the mayor kissing the baby before the election, I feel a little bit fraudulent being the face of the web agency responsible for the launch of the new iia.ie website. The reason is simply because the site is the culmination of a huge amount of effort and input from IIA members, IIA Board (some of whom provided their own company’s services free of charge in order to help the process), Fergal their CEO, and here at Tibus as well, Cleo (project manager) and Mark (lead programmer) not to mention Kirk (creative director) and Andrew (network management) have all really put significant effort into the site.

But neither this post, nor the new site is about us. It’s about the IIA members and servicing their needs. A significant proportion of the time invested in the definition process was about garnering member feedback in terms of what they wanted from the site, and the feedback was clear and consistent:

- Latest relevant news and events
- Member news and events
- Resources, white papers and best practice guidelines
- A flexible member profile, complete with extranet

We have sought to deliver this with the new site.

I know that clichés aren’t what they used to be, but our intention is that the IIA website will be a process (never ending) not a project (ticked off the to do list for ever). Thus if you have any thoughts / comments / suggestions / ideas / queries / concerns please don’t hesitate to add your comment. My view is that the iia.ie website can only improve by listening to and implementing relevant member suggestions.

Best regards,
Gareth.
